DONATH has offered virtual visits since 2020. Using a smartphone or tablet, you can show us your belongings and discuss your questions directly with our team. The virtual visit is free of charge, and your quotation comes with no obligation to book.
How virtual visits for your move work
During the appointment, you guide us through your rooms using your device’s camera and show us the furniture and belongings you want to move.
Together, we discuss the details that matter for planning: items in the basement or garage, large pieces of furniture, fragile belongings and access to the building. You can also tell us which additional services you would like us to include in your quotation.
After reviewing your belongings and requirements, we prepare a quotation for your move.
A personal conversation without an on-site appointment
A virtual visit allows you to discuss your move with us without receiving a member of our team in your home. You show us your belongings where they are and can ask questions about packing, transport and the moving process.
When you are juggling work, everyday commitments and moving preparations, this can make arrangements easier. A fully virtual visit also eliminates the journey our staff would otherwise make to your home for the assessment.
How to prepare for your virtual visit
A little preparation helps us gather the information needed for your quotation:
- Decide what is coming with you. Identify the furniture and belongings you want to move, including anything that will stay behind.
- Remember every room. Include the basement, attic, garage and storage rooms.
- Show us special requirements. Point out bulky furniture, fragile items and narrow access points.

- Have your questions ready. Use the appointment to clarify important details about your move.
- Check your device. Make sure the battery is charged and your internet connection is stable.
